All Places in ‘Vegetarian’

  • Quimbombo

Healthy Indian/Vegetarian. This is considered by many to be the best vegetarian restaurant of Buenos Aires in all aspects. Opened at the beginning of 2008. Lovely ambiance, original menu and way of presenting food. There are multi-levels with different places to lounge or dine. Reservations recommended.

  • El Cuartito

Started in 1934, El Cuartito is among the best of the best when it comes to pizza in Buenos Aires. Located in Barrio Norte, a few blocks from Recoleta, El Cuartito survives thanks to its delicious variety of simple pizzas and empanadas and the customers that fill the place at all hours of the day. Its walls lined with boxing and soccer memorabilia and two huge menus dedicated to pizza/empanadas and desserts, El Cuartito offers the true Buenos Aires pizzeria experience. The pizzeria is very big and you have the option to sit down and be served by the old-school waiters or you can stand and eat by the popular table by the entrance. If you want the full El Cuartito pizza experience, order your pizza slices and empanadas and then wrestle your way over to join the locals at the standing room only table. With a delicious slice of fugazzetta in one hand and a golden-brown carne picante empanada in the other, you will quickly forget about the hungry crowd of locals who’d do anything for your spot at the table. Come for the pizza and empanadas and if you have room…the delicious desserts.

  • Pizzeria El Guerrin

A contender for the best pizzeria in the city, El Guerrin has been serving its loyal clientele since 1932! Located on “Broadway” aka Ave Corrientes, this traditional pizzeria is packed with locals craving a slice of mozzarella and the unforgettable fugazzetta. The awesome empanadas can be ordered either al horno (oven baked) or frita (fried). Get both and decide which is better! Save room for the delicious dessert located in the display at the entrance. You can eat sitting down (there are 3 levels!) or join the locals, on their lunch break, leaning against the front bar.
