What is BA Expat Hub?

BA Expat Hub aims to be the ultimate resource website for Buenos Aires expatriates, students and visitors. Our objective is to become the first port of call for information, tips and advice for those living in or visiting Buenos Aries & Argentina, or those who are planning or thinking about it.

Why “another” expat site?

Those involved with BA Expat Hub all remember when we ourselves were planning our moves to this amazing city, and the number of different websites and resources we had to visit and read to glean enough information to have a good idea of what living in Buenos Aires would be like. There is a lot of information out there on the web, but it really is all over the place, and knowing how much of it is up to date or legitimate is always a challenge, and can be very time consuming. BA Expat Hub will act as a central resource site for all this information, the “hub”, as our name suggests, where the best and most up to date resources and information can be found.

And with that aim in mind, our community is very important to us. Their input into the site will help keep it up to date, and cater for the changing needs of Buenos Aires expatriates and visitors, and the changing situation that is always a part of Argentinian life. Your input, suggestions, criticisms will help us constantly grow and improve this site (and the community) constantly. We really are aiming to be the “inclusive” community website for Buenos Aires expatriates & visitors, unlike other similar sites some of us have had experience with. Feel free to drop us an email at any time, we’d love to hear your suggestions, and the really great ones just may have us buying you a beer or two sometime!

It’s a little bit quiet around here isn’t it?

Well, yes, but all community focused sites have to start from somewhere, and that’s where we’re at right now (October 2011). So as they say, the only way is up baby! Hopefully if you’re reading this you’re ready to jump on board and help us grow this community!

Can I get involved with BA Expat Hub?

Yes, definitely! Apart from our community forums for BA expats and visitors, we’d love to read your reviews on the best (and worst) of Buenos Aires bars, restaurants and stores. And if a bar, restaurant or shop isn’t listed then be sure to submit a listing for it so we can add it to the site. We’ll also be launching a Buenos Aires Business & Services Directory, specifically for businesses & services run by or catering to expats, so make sure you submit your business details for that. And we’re also very open to having a chat about any other involvement you might have in mind, so drop us an email and we can have a chat sometime over a couple of beers!
