Day Clicker Photo Tours
Are you interested in photography and just treated yourself to a digital camera?
Would you like to learn about its functions and receive one on one photography tips from a professional?
Maybe you don’t spend as much time as you would like with your camera and would like to improve your skills.
Whether you are new to the city, a seasoned expat or a local who doesn’t feel camera confident enough to explore and take photos in this fantastic city: Day Clicker is for you!
The 5 hour photo tour starts in a quaint Argentine cafe with a photography tutorial with an introduction to lighting, composition and your camera’s basic functions. Next we will tour an exciting city destination where you will have plenty of time to shoot, applying the useful photography techniques you just learned. Amelia will be there with you to answer questions and to assist you one on one throughout this process.
Next, a classic Argentine lunch (included) and as a group (or individual if preferred), we will discuss the photos that you shot that day. Amelia will give constructive criticism about what did and didn’t work and why. This will help you learn and understand how to correct your mistakes or to realize that you are on the right track. During your assessment Amelia will give you a basic tutorial about Lightroom (a photo editing program similar to Photoshop). A small tour size of a maximum of 5 people per tour, ensures a more hands on experience and lots of one on one attention from your teacher.
By the end of the afternoon, Amelia’s goal is to have you take away something tangible and useful. To learn something new about photography, improve the quality of your photographs, understand basic editing skills, enjoy an afternoon in Buenos Aires and have the photos to prove it!
Day Clicker is both a tour and a how to photography class that can teach you the photo basics or help seasoned photographers hone their skills.
Amelia is a professional photographer originally from Toronto, Canada. In 2005 she started her own company, Amelia McGoldrick Photography, specializing in documenting weddings, events and travel. During a visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 2010, Amelia partook in the usual city tours, and began to notice a trend: A lot of travelers were unsure of how to use their cameras. Amelia would take a few minutes to lend her advice and found that in that short time, she was able to help people improve their photographs. When Amelia moved to Buenos Aires in February 2011, she decided to make teaching photography her full time job and started Day Clicker Photo Tours.
